The SMPC Christian Education Ministry is multi-faceted with the primary mission: To equip God’s people with the teaching of God’s Word that they may grow stronger as God’s disciples and be able to apply biblical principles to all areas of their lives. The proper study and interpretation of God’s Word is our greatest instrument for revealing the truth and our greatest weapon for dispelling false doctrine and conspiracies, especially in times like this.”

Classes are provided for all ages and although the pandemic has demanded a shift in direction and strategy, the teaching of God’s word has remained a priority.

Sargent’s “Weekly Interactive Children’s Message”, taught by volunteers from the congregation, is an exciting and integral part of Sargent’s regular Sunday Worship Services; is based on the Online Sermon 4 Kids Program, and engages “Children of all ages” among the congregation.

Sargent’s Weekly Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class has continued to grow in excitement and attendance during the pandemic and can be accessed by conference call from 9am -10 am each Sunday by calling 267-807-9605. Access Code: 898-184. New members are graciously welcomed.

Virtual Vacation Bible Study Sessions as well as other virtual activities designed to meet the needs of the congregation are being planned for the month of July.

Sargent’s Children’s Church and Summer Youth programs have been suspended during the pandemic.

Special activities such as the Sunday School Christmas/Easter Programs, the Annual Black History Lecture and the Annual Student Achievement Recognition Programs have continued virtually during the pandemic.
