Pride 2026 Resources | Faith, Justice, and Joy: A Journey of Radical Welcome
This June, join us for a 4-part video series during Sunday worship as we explore what it means to move from simple welcome to active, intentional affirmation of our LGBTQIA+ siblings. Rooted in the Black church tradition of liberation and our Presbyterian heritage, these weekly moments will use scripture, church doctrine, and resources from pioneering organizations like More Light Presbyterians and The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries to help us build a longer table for all of God's children. Fill the Fridge
"He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor." — Proverbs 22:9 At Sargent Memorial Presbyterian Church, we believe that caring for the least among us is not just an act of kindness — it is an act of faith. Evangelism's Fill the Fridge initiative is a call to the body of Christ to come together and ensure that no child in our community goes without food. We are collecting non-perishable food items, including canned goods, peanut butter, pasta and rice, fruit cups, snacks, juice boxes, and more. Monetary donations are also welcome and will go directly toward purchasing fresh food and essentials for children in need. As we are moved by the love of Christ, let us move in love toward others. Every can, every dollar, every act of giving is a reflection of His heart for the vulnerable and the hungry. To donate or for more information, please see any member of the Evangelism Ministry or email smpcevangelism@gmail.com

Keep the Community Cool
The Evangelism Ministry will host its Keep the Community Cool! community outreach event on Saturday, August 01, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM. This outreach is a simple yet meaningful opportunity to show up for our neighbors — offering a free bag lunch and beverage, a kind word, a moment of prayer, and the kind of genuine connection that reminds people they are seen and not alone. We are looking for volunteers and other SMPC ministries with an authentic heart for serving to come out and join us. If you feel called to connect with your community through service, prayer, joy, and laughter, we would love to have you with us. Please email smpcevangelism@gmail.com to get involved. We hope you will join us in reaching our community. See you there!
