March Sermon Series: "Comfort, Compromise, and Commitments"

March challenges the church to move from complacency to conviction. Joshua’s charge to Israel is a clarion call for every believer who has grown comfortable in convenience. The tension between comfort and commitment is timeless… many want the blessing of the promise without the burden of obedience. Joshua stands as a spiritual mirror, asking, “Who will you serve?” This month’s series invites worshippers to re-evaluate loyalties, renew vows, and reject spiritual compromise. It’s about rediscovering the fire of first love… where faith becomes action and worship becomes a lifestyle. The supporting scriptures reinforce that lukewarm living leads to spiritual stagnation, while wholehearted devotion leads to divine favor. March, situated during Lent, invites self-examination and recommitment to God’s purpose.
  • Part 1: March 01, 2026 - Communion Sunday (In-Person/Virtual Service)

"The Danger of Comfort Zones" | Comfort can quietly dull our spiritual passion. In this opening message, Rev. McCollum explores Jesus’ warning to the lukewarm church, challenging us to confront areas where complacency has replaced zeal. This sermon invites us to step beyond spiritual comfort zones and rediscover a faith that is alive, active, and fully engaged.

  • Part 2: March 08, 2026 - (In-Person/Virtual Service)

"When Conviction Meets Compromise" | How long will we waver between two opinions? Drawing from Elijah’s challenge to Israel, this sermon confronts the tension between what we believe and how we live. Rev. McCollum calls the church to examine divided loyalties and reclaim the courage to stand firmly in God-given convictions.

  • Part 3: March 15, 2026 - (In-Person/Hybrid Service)

"No Half-Hearted Faith" | Jesus makes it clear: divided devotion leads to spiritual instability. This message addresses the dangers of double-minded faith and the call to wholehearted trust in God. Rev. McCollum encourages believers to choose undivided allegiance and live with clarity, purpose, and spiritual integrity.

  • Part 4: March 22, 2026 - (Virtual Service)

"As for Me and My House" | Faith is not only personal—it’s communal and generational. In this powerful sermon, Rev. McCollum reflects on Joshua’s bold declaration, urging families and households to make intentional commitments to serve the Lord. This message challenges us to lead with faith, establish godly priorities, and model commitment for those who follow.

  • Part 5: March 29, 2026 - (Virtual Service)

"The Cost of Commitments" | True discipleship requires resolve and sacrifice. Concluding the series, Rev. McCollum explores Jesus’ call to unwavering commitment, reminding us that following Christ means pressing forward without looking back. This sermon challenges believers to embrace the cost of commitment and trust that obedience leads to lasting transformation.

March 2026 Sermon Series by Rev. Brian K. McCollum

"Lost & Found"

Starting Sunday, April 05, 2026!

During Lent and Easter, this series celebrates the relentless love of God that finds us even when we’ve wandered far. Through the parables of the lost sheep, coin, and son, Jesus reveals a God who seeks, saves, and restores. The message is both personal and communal… no one is too far gone, and no community is beyond redemption. These supporting scriptures echo the Good Shepherd’s pursuit and the resurrection’s promise that death itself cannot separate us from divine love.
